Dr. Alexis Scatchell, O.D.
Our Doctor grew up nearby
in Edgebrook. She attended St. Mary of the Woods grammar school and then
Loyola Academy High School.
Dr. Scatchell attended college at
Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. This is where she acquired her
bachelors of arts and sciences degree and decided what her career path
would be.
She always knew she was interested in patient care it
was just a matter of what category she chose.
In her last year of
college her biology program had a career seminar class, every week a
different
Doctor came and spoke to the class about their jobs. When the Optometrist
visited and shared information about her career Dr. Scatchell knew this
was her calling. |

Lawrence Prange, Managing Optician
Larry follows in his grandfather's and father's footsteps in the
optical field. In fact, his parents met when his Mom went to have her
eyes checked at Prange Optical (owned by Dr. William Prange) located at
Western and North Avenues on Chicago's north side. There she met young
Dr. Clarence Prange. The rest is history.
Larry is a respected
optician throughout the optometric community, and is a mentor as well as
an advisor for Ophthalmologists, Optometrists and Opticians.
Larry is a born and bred Chicagoan - he grew up on the west side of
the City in the Austin neighborhood and attended DePaul University.
While in college he started working with his Dad where he learned the
basics of the trade. He so much loved helping people with their eye care
needs that he has made it his life's work. |
